Privacy Policy
Plain-language policy, written to match what the product actually does. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Binoguio Guides (binoguioguides.online) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. [TO CONFIRM: controller legal name and whether an officer in charge (encarregado) is formally designated; if so, this section will name that person and channel.] For anything about your data, write to contact@binoguioguides.online.
What we collect
From your Google sign-in. The app uses Google sign-in only. When you sign in, Google tells us your name, your email address, your profile picture URL and your Google account identifier. That is the entire list: we never see your Google password, and we never post anywhere on your behalf. Your name greets you inside the app, your email identifies your account, and your picture shows up as your avatar in the header.
Your gameplay data. While you use the app we store your reading progress (which steps you marked as done), the games you favorited, and which games you unlocked. All of it is tied to your account and visible only to you.
An email you leave without signing in. On the free chapter's last step you can optionally leave an email address so we can tell you when new guides land. We store only that email and which game you were reading about — nothing else, and it never requires an account. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it stops all future emails to that address.
Payment records. When you buy a game unlock we keep a record of the order: the game, the amount, the payment status, the email Stripe used for the purchase and a payment reference.
Feedback you send. Signed-in players can send feedback from the menu. We store the note you type, the kind of feedback you picked, the page you were on (with its game or guide) and a link to your account — no name, email or IP address is recorded with it.
Technical data. While you are signed in, our server keeps a session record for your sign-in that includes your IP address and browser user agent — this is what keeps you logged in and protects the sign-in against misuse. When you answer the analytics notice, we log your choice (accept or decline) in our own logs; the log entry contains the choice only, nothing about you. [TO CONFIRM: retention period for server session records and consent logs.]
Error logs. In production, errors and exceptions the site throws are reported to Sentry so we can fix crashes. The reports carry technical error context, and sending extra personal information in them is disabled by default.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your data to run the account you created and deliver the guides you bought (your sign-in and gameplay data), to process payments and keep the purchase records we are required to keep (your payment records), to send the emails you explicitly asked for (your captured email), to understand and improve the product (analytics, only with your consent), and to keep the service secure and working (session and error records). [TO CONFIRM: final legal-basis mapping under LGPD — contract execution, consent, legitimate interest and legal obligation — approved by counsel.]
Cookies
The site sets one cookie itself: a session cookie that keeps you signed in; deleting it just signs you out. Analytics is off until you turn it on: a small notice asks once, and it remembers your answer in a cookie so it does not ask again. If you accept, two tools run — Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure page views and events, so we can see how the app is used and where the purchase flow gets stuck, and Microsoft Clarity records usage telemetry and session replays to help us find UX problems. If you decline, neither loads and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Sharing and international transfer
We do not sell your data. The third parties that learn anything about you are Google (sign-in, Google Analytics and search-engine site verification), Stripe (payment processing), Microsoft (Clarity analytics, only if you accepted) and Sentry (error reporting). Each one receives only what its job requires. These providers process data outside Brazil, which under LGPD counts as an international transfer. [TO CONFIRM: the transfer mechanisms each provider relies on (for example standard contractual clauses), per counsel.]
How long we keep it
Your gameplay data, favorites and unlocks exist only while your account does. Your payment order records are the exception: when you delete your account they stay with us, with your account reference removed, because we must be able to support refunds and reconcile purchases afterwards. Feedback stays without the link to the deleted account, so it can keep helping us improve the product. Emails you left without an account stay until you unsubscribe (or ask us to remove them). [TO CONFIRM: fixed retention periods per data category, per counsel and business decision.]
Deleting your data
You can delete everything yourself, any time. Open the account menu in the header and choose "Delete my account". That immediately erases your account, your progress, your favorites, your unlocks and every sign-in session, and it cannot be undone. The exceptions above (payment records and feedback without the account link) survive the deletion on purpose; everything else goes.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we process your data, get a copy of it, correct it, have it anonymized, blocked or deleted, ask for portability of it, learn who we shared it with, revoke a consent you gave, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Most requests you can serve yourself: "Delete my account" wipes your data immediately, and "Cookie settings" in the footer revokes or renews your analytics consent. For everything else, email contact@binoguioguides.online and we will answer. [TO CONFIRM: response-time commitment for rights requests, per counsel.]
