Chapter 1: The Phone Box

1. Swim to shore and pull yourself out of the water on the rocks below St. Amelia.

2. Climb the ladder from the waterfront up into the empty harbor town.

   Binoguio says: Straight from the sea into work. Subtle town, this one.

3. Follow the road inland through the quiet streets until a flare goes up over the town.

4. Follow the flare into the town square and read the closure notice: an authorized protest event runs there from 4 to 10.

5. Pick up the town map and note the way in: East Shore Road, then Shorewind Street, with St. Amelia Park ahead and the Medical Center across town.

6. Follow the ringing telephone to the phone box and pick up.

   Binoguio says: A dead town and one ringing phone. Of course.

7. Save your progress at the phone box; the menu also offers emergency services and operator calls.

8. Dial the numbers from the box anyway; the emergency number is not recognized.

9. Stay on the line until Richard gets through, thanking Simon for returning the call and asking for help.

10. Find Richard in front of you with black tar pumped into his body through a tube, and free him.

    Binoguio says: First friendly face in town and he is already leaking.

11. Follow the words "Find her" as the town twists into a ruined facility around Simon.

12. Squeeze through the gap ahead and climb up while Richard's voice coaches Simon on.

13. Move past the trapped body and continue deeper into the building.

14. Continue down the corridors to the room and listen to the voice: Simon cannot stay in it forever and must come back.

15. Take the CRTV, the portable analog television, and hold Left Control to raise it.

16. Turn the mouse wheel to search frequencies while the CRTV is up; signals change with location and time, so check it regularly for clues and story.
